When you’re dining at the beach and looking for a good date night spot, the options can be scarce if you don’t know where to look. Fortunately, about a block away from the boardwalk in Rehoboth Beach, DE there is Salt Air. A friend and I were looking for something other than the usual fast, greasy bar food or pizza at the beach and decided to stop in to Salt Air which is easily one of our favorite restaurants in Rehoboth.
Someone at the table next to us had an order of the Cornbread and my friend is a sucker for a nice moist piece of cornbread so we decided to order it. The dish was $4 so we weren’t expecting much in terms of quantity. Fortunately to our surprise we were given three large pieces of crumbly moist cornbread which we loved. The bread was served warm which made it even more enjoyable.
Last summer, my friend ordered the Filet Mignon of Beef and she loved it. So she decided to order it again, The steak comes with a side of asparagus and mashed potatoes which she swapped for French Fries. The beef came out exactly how she ordered it (medium) and was tender and full of flavor. The french fries were also delicious and served skin on and salted well. Even at $29 my friend was happy with her decision to order this.
Last time I was at Salt Air, I ordered the burger which I enjoyed, but this time I was in the mood for something different. I ordered the Salt Air Bolognese which was served over papperdelle with parmesan cheese, grilled ciabatta and herb oil ($18.) Papperdelle is my favorite type of pasta and the one at Salt Air was no exception. After I ordered I even questioned myself for ordering an Italian dish at an American restaurant but I’m glad I didn’t change my order because this was wonderful and bursting with flavors.
If you’re in the mood for some great upscale American Food right off the main street in Rehoboth Beach, consider checking out Salt Air for a menu full of options that won’t disappoint.
Salt Air is located at 50 Wilmington Ave., in Rehoboth Beach

My mom lives there, so I spend a great deal of time in Rehoboth… this is my new favorite place. Well, besides green man – but they don’t do dinner!
I’ve never been to Green Man! It’s on my list though.
I liked the snack I had at Amuse on Baltimore.
I haven’t been there but I will try it!
