Federal Hill: The Rowhouse Grille

The Rowhouse Grille in Federal Hill is one of my favorite place to grab appetizers. Some friends and I were meeting up with our other friends a little later to grab some drinks (Brewers Cask, it’s my favorite spot to grab a beer) and we wanted to eat something small before meeting a friend.

The Rowhouse Grille has awesome appetizers and if you make a reservation on OpenTable before 6:30, you get 1,000 points.

The Rowhouse Grille is one of the restaurants I have a City Dining Card for so this was also the perfect opportunity to use it.

I love buffalo chicken, my love for buffalo chicken extends to buffalo chicken dip. The Rowhouse Grille happens to have one of the best buffalo chicken dips around. Not only is the dip spicy without burning your mouth, but there’s tons of shredded chicken evenly distributed throughout the dish. I would prefer however if it was served with chips instead of pieces of pita bread, but it’s still a wonderful dish.

We also decided to share an order of the Frites. At The Rowhouse Grille, their frites come with a choice of dipping sauces, we picked ketchup (the standard dip for fries), honey mustard, chipotle mayo and sriracha aioli. I loved the honey mustard, the chipotle mayo and sriracha aioli tasted very similar except the chipotle mayo had a nice smoky flavor. They were awesome though.

Lastly, we decided to share an order of the 4 Cheese Mac & Cheese. It was a blend of smoked gouda, american, cheddar, and pepper jack cheeses. The pepper jack gave it a nice little spicy flavor but it was really just a bowl of cheesy awesome. However it doesn’t compare to the amazing one I had the week before at SoBo Cafe, but it is still something I’d order again.

For some great appetizers in Federal HillThe Rowhouse Grille is worth a visit. It’s also worth noting that this meal plus we each ordered a soda, barely came to $30. The buffalo chicken dip was $11 but the other two appetizers were only $6 and a huge portion of food.

The Rowhouse Grille is on OrderUP, use my referral code for $5 off your first order.

The Rowhouse Grille is located at 1400 Light Street, in Fed Hill, Baltimore.
