I was meeting a friend for dinner in Hampden and we were both craving pizza. I remembered reading good things about The Arthouse and suggested we give it a try. The Arthouse is right off the avenue in Hampden and it’s an adorable little spot.
After looking over the menu, we decided to split two pizzas. The French Onion Pizza was the first one we shared. The pizza came topped with caramelized onions, beef stock, fontina, reggiano, and chives. It was awesome, exactly what I would have expected french onion soup turned into a pizza to taste like.

The other pizza we ordered was the BBQ Bacon Pizza, it was topped with braised bacon, honey barbecue sauce, shaved red onion, and cheddar cheese. This pizza was also delicious. It had a nice sweet and smoky flavor to it and tasted really great.
The pizza at The Arthouse is fun and worth a visit if you’re in Hampden.
The Arthouse is located at 1115 W 36th St, Hampden.
