Inside the new casino, a few different celebrity chefs opened up restaurants. One of the restaurants is by none other than Guy Fieri. If you’re at all familiar with him, then you know about his platinum blonde spiky hair and affinity for west coast slang like ‘righteous.’ At Guy Fieri’s Baltimore Kitchen and Bar, the place oozes of Guy Fieri and the menu is littered with his favorite slang. One of my friends is really into all things Food Network and we decided to venture over to the casino together. Despite the Guy Fieri-isms that littered the place, the service was wonderful and my friend and I throughly enjoyed the food.
When we were looking over the menu, a waitress walked by with an order of the Righteous Rojo Rings, or onion rings if you’re unfamiliar with some of Guy’s slang. The Rojo Rings had a nice exterior crisp and were served with Guy’s rojo dipping sauce which was spicy but the sour cream really tempered the spice and was the perfect sauce for dipping these onion rings.
My friend ordered the Motley Que Sandwich which, no joke, was the size of her arm. The sandwich was stuffed with pulled pork shoulder smothered in Guy’s Signature Bourbon Brown Sugar BBQ sauce, stacked with citrus slaw, pickle chips, aged Cheddar cheese and onion straws on a toasted pretzel bun. My friend loved this sandwich, but honestly maybe only ate a quarter of it and had to take the rest home because the portion was so huge.
For my meal, I went with the Bacon & Chicken Mac-n-Cheese. This was another ginormous portion but it was delicious. The Mac-n-Cheese had creamy three-cheese sauce, diced rotisserie chicken, grated parmesan cheese, crumbled bacon, scallions and was topped with cheese crackers. I really wasn’t a huge fan of the crackers on top of the mac-n-cheese but the dish was super creamy and delicious. It also heated up well for the three meals I was able to split this into.
The portions at Guy Fieri’s Baltimore Kitchen and Bar are huge and the place is littered with awkward slang that Guy uses everywhere, but the service was great and the food was awesome. I can’t wait to go back and try some of their other options, I’ve heard the wings are awesome!
