Update: B Doughnut has since relocated to NoVa. 

If you’re not a morning person, and can’t make it out of bed before noon, then B Doughnut is probably not the place for you. Their doughnuts sell out early every day. The other morning I got my act together and made it to the Hampden shop shortly after they opened and they were already sold out of a few flavors.

While I was waiting for my order, I snapped a picture of the display doughnuts for the day – don’t they look delicious!?

The three doughnuts my friends and I ordered were the Everything Bagel Doughnut Filled with Cream Cheese and Bacon, Vanilla Bean Doughssant, and Lemon Curd Filled Doughnut. The winner of the three was the lemon curd but they were all delicious. The  bagel doughnut was the most savory of the bunch, with a cup of coffee it’s a suitable breakfast. The doughssant fell short of expectations, it was definitely a little hard, but the vanilla cream on top was delicious. The last doughnut, the lemon curd was also delicious. The filling was a great balance of sweet and tart, I think it was my favorite of the three.

One of my friends was headed home to her parents house, so she picked up four doughnuts to go as well.

She ordered the Everything Bagel Doughnut Filled with Cream Cheese and Bacon, Chocolate Cream Filled Doughnut, Glazed Doughnut, and Matcha Green Tea Doughssant. Her family loved all the doughnuts and I have a feeling we will all be seeing the 8 o’clock hour a lot more regularly.
