Let’s talk brunch, the best meal of the week. It’s one of the many reasons I look forward to the weekend, good food and great company. Bluegrass Tavern isn’t too far from where I live and it’s been a little chilly recently, so now seemed like the perfect time to try it.
When I visited, Bluegrass they were running a special. If you check in on social, you receive a free order of Beignets. These were delicious, light and fluffy. And the caramel dipping sauce was awesome. I could easily see these beignets regularly in my future.
My friend is a Philly native, so whenever there’s a cheesesteak type option on a menu, that’s usually what she orders. The Cheese-steak Omelet was stuffed with grilled steak, mushrooms, caramelized onions, smoked cheddar, and hash browns. My friend loved this, her only complaint was that there were too many mushrooms and not enough onions. But she loved all the flavors and would order this again in an instant.
I ordered the Beef Short Rib Hash, and it was honestly one of the top brunch dishes I’ve had in Baltimore. This dish was short ribs, mushrooms, and onions in a marsala sauce and topped with poached eggs. It was absolutely wonderful. If you’re a chicken marsala fan, this is a brunch version on flavor steroids.
I think Bluegrass Tavern has officially taken the top spot as my favorite brunch in Fed Hill.
Bluegrass Tavern is located at 1500 S Hanover St, Fed Hill.
