Update: Bmore Cocina is now closed.
Do you ever eat something and then you’re sad when you finish? It doesn’t happen very often, but when it does, I know I’ve really discovered something special. Steve Chu (one of the brilliant minds behind Ekiben) shared a great looking picture of a great looking spot not too far from my office. With all the recent warm weather we have been having, there was no time like the present to head over to Upper Fells for what was about to be the best chicken tacos I’ve ever had. Since my first visit, I’ve been doing my best to work my way through the menu at Bmore Cocina.
On my first visit, I kept it simple and went with the Chicken Tacos. This is what really started my obsession with Bmore Cocina. I was legitimately upset when I finished my meal, I wasn’t hungry, but the tacos were so good that I wanted more. The chicken has a delicious char and everything tasted so fresh. I watched Chef Audiel blend the salsa and make a fresh tortilla. This is hands down, the best taco in Baltimore.
On my second visit, I ordered the Big Poppa, mainly because the name enticed me. This masa cake was topped with steak, oaxaca cheese, and micro greens and it was another winner.
I also went for an order of the fries. And they were fantastic, seriously. Once you start, it’s hard to stop. They were super crispy with just a touch of potato inside, just the way I like them.
Bmore Cocina is located at 253 S Broadway, in Upper Fells.
