Harbor East: Apropoe’s

Hotel dining generally gets a bad reputation. Generally, it caters to tourists who may not be knowledgeable about where to eat and out of convenience, they settle for what the hotel offers. That is not the case at Apropoe’s, the restaurant inside the Baltimore Waterfront Marriott.

One of my friends visited Apropoe’s during Light City and raved about the specials they were offering so I knew I needed to try it.

I dined there for lunch and I can say for certain, I will be returning for dinner soon – the entrees looked amazing.

It was one of those cold rainy days that we have been having lately, so I opted to start with the Roasted Tomato Soup. The soup was very comforting, which was exactly what I expected it to be. For a rainy day, it was everything I needed.

I also opted to go for the Pulled Chicken Pizza, topped with shredded chicken, caramelized onions, jack cheese, and chili peppers – this pizza was screaming my name. And it was fantastic – easily the best pizza I’ve had in Harbor East. The crust was thin – but not cracker like, and it was so cheesy; in my mind, the perfect pie.
