When I’m craving fresh Tex-Mex food, one of my favorite spots to visit is On the Border. Fortunately for me, they have a location in Canton (with parking) so it’s seriously a great spot to grab dinner with some friends. I partnered with On the Border to share some of my favorite fresh bites on the menu and I was so happy with everything I ordered.
Of course, we started the meal with a round of Margaritas. The Borderita (left) is their signature margarita flavor which has a heavy lemon-lime citrus flavor. My friend ordered this one and it was delicious – I may have stole more than just a few sips. I ordered the Prickly Pear Margarita (right), which was also delicious. This margarita was beautiful with its bright pink hue and on the sweeter side. Of all of the On the Border margaritas that I’ve tried, this is by far my favorite.
We decided to start our meal by sharing a few apps and the Brisket Quesadilla sounded absolutely drool-worthy. The flour tortillas are stuffed with a sweet and spicy brisket, pickled jalapeños, and BBQ sauce. Each meaty bite was better than the previous.
We also shared a heaping plate of Stacked Nachos. The chips are made fresh daily at On the Border and topped with ground beef, refried beans, queso, sour cream, pico de gallo, pickled jalapeños, and guac. This was another delicious dish. Nachos are my weakness and I kept going back for bite after bite.
Because we went app-heavy with our ordering, we decided to share the Steak Fajitas for our entree. This was totally the highlight of the meal for me. The steak was marinated with onions, garlic, and peppers then grilled to perfection and served on a sizzling plate alongside fresh hand-pressed flour tortillas. I could not get enough of the juicy steak. My mouth is watering just remembering the deliciousness of this dish.
With so many fresh, made to order dishes. It’s easy to remember why On the Border is one of my go to dinner spots with my friends.
