Reisterstown: Ristorante Firenze

I love a good Italian spot, and Ristorante Firenze in Reisterstown is no different. Almost everything is made in house which is something that I really appreciate. And new this summer, they debuted a Peroni Beer Garden which looks like an awesome space to hang out on a nice day.

A friend and I stopped in for dinner, and had some serious trouble deciding between all of the delicious sounding dishes. Our waitress said the Eggplant Caprese is one of their most popular apps, so we took her advice and ordered it.  Between slices of lightly fried eggplant was fresh mozzarella cheese and sliced tomatoes. With all of my favorite things in one bite, what’s not to love?

We decided to each order one of their delicious entrees which luckily for us comes with a side salad. My friend selected the Classic Caesar and I went with the Insalate Casa. The Caesar was your classic salad and super creamy and delicious.

The House Salad had arugula, spinach, iceberg, tomato, cucumber, onion, olives, pepperoncini, parmesan, and red wine vinaigrette. The dressing had a nice zing and it was a delicious start to the meal.

From the Italian Classics section of the menu, my friend ordered the Lasagna Bolognese. The pasta sheets were expertly layered with ground meat, creamy ricotta, and plenty of sauce. It was seriously such a delicious bite and because the portion was so big she had plenty of leftovers.

The Chicken Parmesan came highly recommended as our waitresses favorite dish, so I ordered that. It was another delicious bite and lucky for me it was served over house made spaghetti. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and smothered in delicious red sauce and cheese. I kept going back for bite after bite.

I’m a sucker for Meatballs, so my friend and I decided to split an order of these. They were fork-tender, so juicy, and all around delicious. If you’re craving just the classics, Ristorante Firenze hits them out of the park.

When looking over the menu I saw the Cannolis came from Vaccaro’s, so of course we couldn’t pass these up. And, they tasted just as good up here in Reisterstown as they do in Little Italy.
