I love Alexandria. It reminds me so much of Fells Point. It’s super cute, along the water – and there are plenty of great places to grab a drink or a bite to eat. A friend and I were planning on heading to Jackson 20 for a pop up beer garden (every Sunday in the month of June) and after checking out the menu we decided to grab brunch here as well.

My friend and I started our meal with a plate of Fresh Fruit. The simple things can really be one of the best ways to start a meal.

We also shared an order of Fried Green Tomatoes. These were downright delicious. The tomatoes had a nice crispy crunchy exterior. But the real winner of this dish was the come back sauce, seriously, I kept coming back for more. It was creamy, and subtly spicy. This was so delicious.

Taking the advice from both our waiter and the general manager, my friend opted for the Slow Cooked Beef Brisket Hash. This was so good. Serious brunch goals were satisfied with this dish. Fork tender, crispy potatoes were topped with grilled onions, green peppers, tender brisket and over easy eggs. My favorite part of this dish was the brisket, I’m a sucker for well cooked meat, but seriously everything was fantastic.

I was craving something on the sweeter side, so I opted for the J20 Tall Stack. These pancakes were light and fluffy with a hint of cinnamon. I was in love with every bite. Most importantly, the bacon served with the pancakes was crisped to perfection.
