One of my favorite bars in Federal Hill is Mother’s. In the past, I’ve been a few times for dinner and I’ve always considered the food to be just okay. However, they’ve recently undergone some renovations and revamped the menu so a friend and I decided to try Mother’s again.
The burgers at Koopers Tavern are delicious, there’s no denying that. But seeing as it was before noon and my friend and I were looking to try something other than our Fells Point go-to, The Point, we decided to try brunch at Koopers.
My friend and I were looking to mix it up a little for dinner without leaving Federal Hill. I had read about Bluegrass Tavern and that they serve delicious southern comfort food. I also had a dining card for Bluegrass which was an added incentive for me to head over there.

After walking around Annapolis with a friend, we were in the mood for a small bite to eat. She suggested recently opened BAROAK inside the Loews Hotel. I had read some pretty good reviews on Yelp and my friend and I were excited to visit.
