Easy weeknight tuna that's packed with flavors
Begin by prepping your sauce. In a small blender, combine all of the sauce ingredients and blend until smooth. Reserve one green onion for garnish.
Taste the avocado wasabi puree, adjust seasonings as needed and set aside.
Coat the tuna with salt and pepper on both sides.
Mix the black and white sesame seeds on a plate and dredge the tuna through the seeds. Coating evenly.
Heat the oil into a pan over medium-high heat.
When the oil is hot (just starting to smoke), arrange the tuna in the pan and cook for about a minute on each side. Flipping when the white sesame seeds begin to turn golden.
Transfer the tuna to a cutting board and slice, about half an inch thick.
Arrange the tuna over a swipe of the avocado wasabi puree.
Garnish with 1 chopped scallion
