Baltimore has one of the most interesting food scenes on the East Coast. Over the years I’ve eaten at hundreds of restaurants around the city — everything from neighborhood taverns and bakeries to seafood institutions and small taco counters.
Instead of a simple list, I organized this guide by Baltimore neighborhood, which is the easiest way to explore where to eat. Whether you’re visiting Baltimore for the first time or just looking for somewhere new to try, these are places that have stood out to me over the years.
Whenever possible I’ve included links to restaurant websites and to blog posts where I’ve written about the meal in more detail.
