Federal Hill: Don’t Know Tavern

If you live in a constant status of I Don’t Know where I ate last night, then maybe you should skip the middle man and just check out Don’t Know in Federal Hill. I drive or walk by here almost every day, and I always mentally note that I need to check it out. My friend was craving Crab Dip Tots and I took that at the perfect opportunity to head over to Don’t Know.

We started our meal with the Crab Dip Tots. The crab dip smother to tot ratio was perfect. Tots were not left uncovered, and my friend inhaled this dish.

I have a love affair with brussels sprouts, so when I saw Kung Pao Brussels on the menu I was intrigued and knew I had to try them. The brussels were fried in a red thai chili sauce, topped with roasted peanuts, and served over vegetable fried rice. These were great, moderately spicy, and probably one of the better ones I’ve had.

I also ordered the DK Burger which came topped with smoked bacon, muenster cheese, spicy remoulade, lettuce, tomato, and onion. The burger was flavorful, perfect to eat at the bar while watching a game with friends.

Overall, the food at Don’t Know was pretty great and I can’t wait to go back and try some of their other menu offerings.
