Glen Burnie, MD: Vino Volo

If you have time to kill before a flight – there are few things you can find in an airport better than a lovely wine bar. Recently, I was in BWI and my flight was delayed so I ducked into Vino Volo for some wine and snacks to kill time.

I’ve been getting more into red wine lately, so the California Kings Flight was the perfect way to expand my palate. To be honest, I didn’t love any of these because they were on the drier side. I probably would have been happier with some of the whites.

I also choose to order the Burrata. The creamy ball of cheese was served over a bed of lettuce and tomatoes with a balsamic drizzle. It’s such a classic flavor combination that pairs so well with wine.

As my delay lengthened, I also ordered the Truffled Popcorn. This was the perfect snackable bite. The popcorn was salty, and truffle-y, and had some fresh shaved parmesan. This was a great bite for passing the time.

While I obviously never hope for a delay, this is for sure where I’ll be spending my time next time I’m at BWI.
