One of my favorite bars in Federal Hill is Mother’s. In the past, I’ve been a few times for dinner and I’ve always considered the food to be just okay. However, they’ve recently undergone some renovations and revamped the menu so a friend and I decided to try Mother’s again.
After looking over the menu, my friend settled on Scunny’s Quesadilla. This was a 10” tortilla stuffed with chicken, sautéed onions, peppers & cheddar jack cheese, served with salsa & sour cream. The quesadilla was massive and everything was cooked nicely, my friend throughly enjoyed this.
Even though Mother’s is known for their wings, I decided to try something different and ordered the Fire on the Mountain. This was a sandwich with a grilled chicken breast topped with avocado, roasted red peppers, fresh mozzarella cheese & homemade pesto, on toasted ciabatta. This sandwich was really great, the chicken was moist and the elements combined very nicely. I would gladly order this again.
If you haven’t been to Mother’s since they completed renovations, you should check it out!
Mother’s is located at 1113 S Charles St, Federal Hill.
