If you’re craving Italian food in Annapolis, you might naturally gravitate toward Main Street—but sometimes the hidden gems are off the beaten path. A friend recommended Sammy’s Italian Pizza Kitchen in Eastport, and I’m so glad I took her advice.
We started with Garlic Knots, which were on display when we stepped up to the counter and immediately looked irresistible. They arrived piping hot with a side of marinara sauce for dipping—simple, classic, and exactly what you want as a starter.
My friend couldn’t resist the Gnocchi Sorrentia, and it was easy to see why. The potato gnocchi was served in a creamy rose sauce with ricotta cheese, topped with mozzarella. It was indulgent, comforting, and a perfect example of classic Italian comfort food.
I opted for the Fettuccine Bolognese because I love a good meat sauce. The egg noodles were perfectly cooked, and the sauce was rich, savory, and just as delicious as the sauce on the gnocchi. Every bite was satisfying, and I left thrilled with my choice.
Next time I’m in Annapolis and craving Italian food, I’ll definitely be heading back to Sammy’s Italian Pizza Kitchen to try even more of their pasta dishes (and maybe a pizza, too).
Sammy’s Italian Pizza Kitchen is located at 1007 Bay Ridge Ave, in Annapolis.
