Even though the bomb cyclone is hopefully behind us (and maybe no polar vortex’s this year). It’s still the middle of winter and cold outside. So, of course I’ve been spending tons of time with big bowls of soup. A bowl of ramen is one of my favorite ways to warm up and Kippo Ramen in Fells Point has some of my favorite around.

My girlfriend always orders the Chicken Paitan, and rightfully so. This creamy chicken ramen is served with a jammy egg, mushrooms, a heaping pile of noodles, and juicy chicken. It’s hearty, and creamy, and perfect for a cold evening.

My favorite ramen is the Spicy Shoyu. It has some heat which is something I appreciate just a little more in the winter. I ordered this with chicken because it’s just so good. I also added corn to the bowl because I love the nice burst of flavor. This broth is saltier than the one my girlfriend ordered, but it was still awesome.
