Hanover: The Prime Rib

Live! Casino & Hotel in Hanover has so many delicious options to grab a meal and recently I was given the opportunity to visit and enjoy a meal at The Prime Rib. Let me tell you, everything was fantastic and I can’t wait to return and try the rest of the menu.

Dinner started with the House Made Sangria which I was a huge fan of. Had I not been driving, I totally would have wanted a second (and third) glass. It was fruity without being too sweet.

Chef Eric brought out some of The Prime Rib’s greatest hits and we started with Seafood on the Lava Rock. We were presented with raw salmon, scallops, yellowtail, and tuna alongside a 500 degree lava rock. I love when a dish gets slightly interactive. We were able to mix and match the sauces and fish and cook as long as we desired.

We also had a charcuterie platter that was made with mostly locally sourced cheeses. Of the three cheeses, my favorite was the Ash Goat Cheese. It was super creamy and we completely devoured it.

All meals should include something a little healthy, so we had Grilled Asparagus and Brussels Sprouts. Of the two, I preferred the asparagus but both were delicious and a perfect break from all of the heavier dishes we had.

Possibly my favorite savory dish from the evening was the Lobster Mac & Cheese. I would have loved to swan dive into this cheesy goodness. There were plenty of hunks of meaty lobster which is always an added bonus.

Of course, you can’t visit The Prime Rib without ordering their namesake dish, The Prime Rib. Served rare, this is a beautiful cut of meat. We were so full but couldn’t resist going in for bite after bite of this beautiful hunk of meat.

Never being people to turn down dessert, we also tried the Salted Caramel Cake. The slice of cake was seriously massive, but we loved every bite of this chocolatey goodness. It was super moist and seriously what cake dreams are made of.

To wash it all down, we shared the Makers Mark Root Beer Float. This was boozy, and sweet, and seriously the best nightcap. I can’t wait to go back and have another.
