DiPasquale’s is an authentic Italian deli just north of Canton, and it’s been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives—so I had high expectations. For lunch, a friend and I weren’t sure what we were in the mood for. I wanted a sandwich, she wanted something classic Italian, and DiPasquale’s fit the bill perfectly.
When we walked in, we were greeted by a deli counter packed with fresh Italian delicacies: meatballs, salads, fresh mozzarella, pastas, and more. After looking over the menu, my friend ordered the Baked Ziti. The portion was massive, layered with fresh ziti and overflowing with cheesy goodness. Honestly, it was hands down one of the best baked ziti dishes either of us had ever had.
I went for one of their Italian sandwiches, the Rustico, which comes with dry-cured filet mignon, marinated eggplant, roasted sweet peppers, baby greens, and balsamic vinegar on ciabatta bread. The sandwich was packed with flavor and impressively large. The freshly baked ciabatta made it one of the best sandwiches I’ve had to date—and I consider myself a sandwich aficionado.

We also shared an order of Italian Fries, simply sprinkled with sea salt and black pepper. They were perfectly crispy, not too greasy, and a deliciously unique twist on standard fries.
If you’re craving authentic Italian flavors, DiPasquale’s in Canton-Highlandtown is a must-visit deli.
