Egg sandwiches are basically my breakfast obsession. I could easily have one multiple times a week without complaint. One of the best spots I’ve discovered for this simple pleasure is The Corner Pantry in Mount Washington. Since opening, this cozy café has been wowing locals with its creative breakfast dishes, quality ingredients, and warm, inviting atmosphere.
The Corner Pantry
The Corner Pantry is the perfect mix of casual and comfortable — whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or settling in with your laptop for a morning of work, it hits the right note. I kicked things off with a latte, smooth and balanced, complete with a little latte art that made the morning feel extra special.
If you’re looking for something lighter, the menu has you covered. I tried the Wild Mushroom Soup, rich and creamy with earthy flavor that mushroom lovers will adore. My friend ordered the Swordfish Ceviche, served with diced mango, pickled scallions, jalapeño, radish, and fresh herbs. Light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced — a great way to start the day or even enjoy as a midday bite.

My friend ordered the Swordfish Ceviche, which was a standout. The fresh swordfish was diced into perfect bite-sized pieces and combined with pickled scallions, jalapeño, diced mango, basil, and radish. The citrusy marinade, or leche de tigre, gave the ceviche a bright, zesty flavor that complemented the natural sweetness of the mango and the subtle heat from the jalapeño. It was light, refreshing, and beautifully plated — the perfect dish to balance a heavier breakfast or brunch selection.
Swordfish Ceviche
No visit to The Corner Pantry is complete without checking out the pastry case. Everything looked incredible, so I grabbed a cookie for later and a pop tart for a coworker to enjoy the next morning. The pastries are just as thoughtfully made as the savory dishes, making it hard to leave without a sweet treat in hand.

Whether you’re stopping by for breakfast, brunch, or even dinner (they recently added evening service!), The Corner Pantry delivers consistently on flavor, creativity, and quality. With a menu that balances comfort food with fresh, thoughtful dishes, it’s a Mount Washington gem that’s worth visiting again and again.
