When I travel, I almost never eat at the same restaurant twice. There are simply too many places to try and too little time. Maybe I’ll return to the same coffee shop during a trip, but committing to a second full dinner at the same place? That almost never happens.
But during a recent trip to Revelstoke, British Columbia, that’s exactly what happened.
After having such a fantastic meal with my family at Quartermaster Eatery, we found ourselves talking about the dishes for the rest of the night. A few days later, we decided the only logical solution was to go back for round two.

Between the two visits, we managed to try just about everything on the menu that caught our attention — which is always the best possible outcome.

Artisan Fire Grilled Bread
Both dinners began with the Artisan Fire Grilled Bread. The thick, doughy bread was grilled and served with a smoky red pepper sauce that we couldn’t stop dipping into.
It’s the kind of starter that disappears quickly from the table.

Sticky Maple Duck Wings
Another standout was the Sticky Maple Duck Wings. They were incredibly tender, practically falling off the bone, and coated in a sticky maple glaze that left our fingers completely messy — in the best way possible.
These were an instant favorite.

Elk Chorizo Salad
One of the more unique dishes we ordered was the Elk Chorizo Salad. The salad featured plenty of greens and fresh vegetables topped with slices of elk chorizo.
Instead of the typical ground sausage style, the elk chorizo was sliced almost like jerky, which added a smoky, salty, slightly spicy flavor to the dish.

Daily Catch
During our first visit, my mom and I split two entrées. One was the Daily Catch, which happened to be salmon the night we visited.
The fish was served over roasted vegetables with perfectly crispy skin. It was cooked beautifully and made for a light but satisfying dish.

Daily Chef Creation: Peruvian Chicken
The other dish we shared was the Daily Chef Creation. When I heard the special was Peruvian Chicken, I knew immediately that I had to order it.
The chicken was blackened and served over roasted vegetables with an incredibly flavorful avocado sauce. I seriously debated ordering it again when we returned for dinner later in the trip.

Bone-In Tenderloin
On our second visit, my brother and I both ordered the Bone-in Tenderloin.
Not only was the steak a huge cut of meat, but the bone added even more flavor — which is exactly how I prefer my steak. It was rich, perfectly cooked, and one of those dishes where you slow down just to enjoy every bite.

Molten Belgian Chocolate Cake
My family firmly believes that every meal should end with dessert, so we ordered the Molten Belgian Chocolate Cake.
The cake was rich, fudgy, and warm in the center, topped with vanilla ice cream and crushed pecans. It was the perfect sweet finish to two memorable dinners.
