Brewers Cask Baltimore: Local Brews, Great Food, and a Neighborhood Feel

When I’m craving a beer more inventive than a standard Blue Moon in Federal Hill, Brewers Cask is my go-to. I’ve watched other diners dig into plates that always looked tempting. Plus, I knew the chef used to be from Hot Corner Lee’s — a Cross Street Market favorite of mine.

One evening, two friends and I decided to try it out. I made the suggestion and we walked over.

From seating to service, the staff was on point. To start, we shared Hot Corner Lee’s Famous Curly Fries — hand-cut Idaho potatoes, sea salt, and a sriracha aioli. Crisp, fresh, and with a kick. These fries were among the better bar fry experiences I’ve had.

  • Grilled Wings in Bourbon BBQ Sauce
Wings draped in a sweet-tangy bourbon BBQ sauce, sprinkled with blue cheese. Finger-licking good.

  • Texas Cheesesteak
The dish I’d come for. Thin-sliced brisket, grilled onions, green peppers, and provolone on a fresh roll. The balance between bread and filling was just right — satisfying and generous, with leftovers to spare.

Since we’d already had fries, I went with a side of Sautéed Garlic Spinach. Creamy, garlicky, and unexpectedly bar-worthy. Definitely not your average bar veggie side.

Every dish hit the mark: bold flavors, solid portions, and a comfortable environment. If you’re in Federal Hill and craving more than just basic pub fare, Brewers Cask is worth a stop.
