The Corner Pantry: Best Breakfast & Brunch in Mount Washington, Baltimore

The Corner Pantry is a fresh addition to the Mount Washington / Falls Road area in Baltimore, taking over the space formerly occupied by Banksy’s Cafe. A friend and I were headed up to Towson to meet some friends, so we decided to cross another spot off my to-do list and visit this much-talked-about café.

Walking in, we were greeted by a trendy, inviting interior. Luckily, it was a beautiful day, so we opted to sit outside after ordering at the counter.

I was hoping to try their freshly made biscuits, inspired by a recent visit to Shoo Fly Diner, but unfortunately they were sold out for the day. The counter staff suggested a crumpet, which turned out light, buttery, and absolutely delicious with the jam (I just can’t remember the flavor!).

For my main dish, I ordered the Skinny Egg Sandwich, which came with scrambled egg whites, avocado, feta, spinach, and caramelized onions on fresh ciabatta. This was a satisfying, flavorful breakfast sandwich that I thoroughly enjoyed.

My friend decided on the Corner Pantry Mac & Cheese, which had a perfectly cheesy flavor and a crunchy breadcrumb topping. While she wished the noodles were a bit smaller, she was still impressed by the dish.

To round out our meal, we split a chocolate chip cookie. It was good, though not particularly remarkable, but a sweet end to a very satisfying brunch.

Overall, The Corner Pantry impressed with its fresh, flavorful breakfast and brunch options, and I can’t wait to go back to explore more of their menu.

The Corner Pantry is located at 6080 Falls Rd, in Mount Washington.
