If you’ve spent time in Fells Point, you’ve probably noticed Todd Conner’s — the corner bar sitting right at Broadway and Aliceanna. With its casual vibe, friendly regulars, and reputation for great food, it’s hard to miss. So when my friend and I were in the mood for a laid-back brunch, we decided to give it a try.
When you walk inside, Todd Conner’s feels exactly like what a good neighborhood bar should — cozy, unpretentious, and full of energy. The TVs were tuned to sports, the bartender knew everyone by name, and the smell of sizzling bacon and fresh coffee made it feel like the perfect brunch spot.
My friend decided to go big with the Fried PB&J — a peanut butter and jelly sandwich that’s dipped in French toast batter and deep-fried. It’s as rich and over-the-top as it sounds — crispy on the outside, gooey inside, and wildly sweet. It’s definitely a dish to share (or to tackle with a serious sweet tooth), but it’s undeniably delicious.
She paired it with a side of Home Fries, which were classic, golden, and perfectly seasoned — the kind of no-frills potatoes that complete any good brunch plate.
I went with our waiter’s recommendation, the Bacon, Egg & Cheese Grits Bowl, and it did not disappoint. The grits were creamy and cheesy, topped with crispy bacon, a perfectly fried egg, and a slice of toast on the side. When you break the yolk and mix everything together, it becomes the ultimate comfort food in a bowl — hearty, rich, and deeply satisfying.
If you’re wandering around Fells Point and looking for a casual brunch spot with generous portions and great comfort food, Todd Conner’s is a must-visit. It’s the kind of place that feels like home, whether you’re stopping by for brunch, burgers, or beers with friends.
Todd Conner’s is located at 700 S Broadway, in Fells Point, Maryland.
