Beach Day BBQ at Bethany Blues in Bethany Beach
One of the best parts about spending time at the Delaware beaches is discovering all the great restaurants scattered along the coast. After a full day in the sun, I’m almost always craving something hearty — and Bethany Blues BBQ has become one of my favorite spots to stop for a satisfying meal.
Whether you’re visiting with family or meeting up with friends after a beach day, the menu has plenty of shareable BBQ dishes and sandwiches that make it easy for everyone to find something they’ll love.
From smoked meats to comfort food appetizers, Bethany Blues BBQ in Bethany Beach always delivers big flavors and generous portions.

Ultra-Crispy Fried Pickles
We started with an order of Fried Pickles, and they were a fantastic opener.
Instead of the typical pickle rounds, these were sliced super thin — almost like pickle fries — and lightly fried until perfectly crispy. Even with the crunch, they still kept that bright pickle-y vinegar flavor that makes fried pickles so addictive.

Blues Brisket Nachos
Next up were the Blues Brisket Nachos, which were absolutely loaded.
The tortilla chips were piled high with smoked brisket, jalapeños, tomatoes, onions, cheddar cheese, smoked salsa, and sour cream. Every bite had a little bit of everything, and it quickly became one of those dishes where the table keeps reaching for “just one more chip.”

Hickory Smoked Wings
Another big hit at the table was the Hickory Smoked Wings.
These wings were crispy on the outside and seasoned with Old Bay, which gave them a nice Maryland-style twist. Between the smoky flavor and the seasoning, they disappeared quickly.

Pulled Chicken Sandwich
For our final dish, we ordered the Pulled Chicken Sandwich.
The chicken was incredibly juicy and worked perfectly with Bethany Blues’ lineup of house-made BBQ sauces. My personal favorite is the Carolina Gold, which I generously piled onto the sandwich.
If you like tangy mustard-style BBQ sauces, this one is a must.
