Sometimes, the perfect breakfast doesn’t need to be a big production — just a great cup of coffee and a really good pastry. On a recent trip to Annapolis, a friend and I decided to start our morning with both, and she immediately suggested Bakers & Co.
The moment we stepped inside, the smell of freshly baked pastries hit us — butter, sugar, and coffee all mingling together. The pastry case was filled with all kinds of treats that made it nearly impossible to choose, but I finally settled on the Market Bun. It had the perfect balance — a flaky, golden exterior with a soft, doughy center. So many pastries can feel heavy, but this one was wonderfully light.
To go with it, I ordered a latte, complete with a swirl of latte art (which never fails to make me smile). It was smooth, creamy, and the ideal morning pick-me-up.
If you find yourself in Annapolis and craving a quiet, cozy breakfast spot, Bakers & Co. is a must. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, sip your coffee, and ease into the day — one pastry at a time.
Bakers & Co. is located at 618 Chesapeake Avenue, in Annapolis
