If you’re craving Italian food in Annapolis, you might naturally gravitate toward Main Street—but sometimes the hidden gems are off the beaten path. A friend recommended Sammy’s Italian Pizza Kitchen in Eastport, and I’m so glad I took her advice.

We started with Garlic Knots, which were on display when we stepped up to the counter and immediately looked irresistible. They arrived piping hot with a side of marinara sauce for dipping—simple, classic, and exactly what you want as a starter.

My friend couldn’t resist the Gnocchi Sorrentia, and it was easy to see why. The potato gnocchi was served in a creamy rose sauce with ricotta cheese, topped with mozzarella. It was indulgent, comforting, and a perfect example of classic Italian comfort food.

I opted for the Fettuccine Bolognese because I love a good meat sauce. The egg noodles were perfectly cooked, and the sauce was rich, savory, and just as delicious as the sauce on the gnocchi. Every bite was satisfying, and I left thrilled with my choice.
