Lemongrass in Annapolis: Thai Food That Totally Hits the Spot

When that noodle craving hits, Thai food always does the trick. I had dinner plans with a friend in Annapolis and was already whining about the lack of noodles in my life. Luckily, she knew exactly where to go — Lemongrass — because she’d been craving their crispy string beans. Okay, sold.

Lemongrass has a cozy, casual vibe — perfect for a relaxed dinner catch-up. Once we were seated, we kicked things off with an order of their Crispy String Beans, and wow, they did not disappoint. The beans were lightly battered, deep-fried, and then stir-fried with chili, garlic, and five-spice. I loved that they were coated in sauce instead of being served with a dip — way more flavorful that way. I instantly understood why my friend insisted we order them.

My friend went for the Shrimp Pad Thai — a classic. It was exactly what you want from Pad Thai: comforting, slightly sweet, and perfectly balanced. Nothing flashy, just a solid, traditional version that hit the spot.

I was in the mood for something spicier, so I ordered the Chicken Drunken Noodles. The wide noodles were chewy and soaked up all that spicy flavor beautifully. The menu listed it as a “two-chili” spice level, which gave it a good kick without being overwhelming — but if you love serious heat, definitely ask them to turn it up a notch.

When the noodle craving strikes again and I’m in Annapolis, I’ll absolutely be heading back to Lemongrass for another round of Drunken Noodles — and, of course, those crispy string beans.

Lemongrass is located at 167 West St, Annapolis.
