Fells Point: Koopers Tavern

A friend and I were grabbing dinner in Fells Point and couldn’t agree on where to go. I wanted a burger, she wanted pizza. Fortunately neither one of us had to compromise because Koopers Tavern offers both. I was recently at Koopers for brunch, but it’s been a while since I was there for dinner.

My friend was craving pizza, so unsurprisingly that’s what she ordered. She opted to build her own because she was craving pineapple and bacon as toppings. This has recently been her go-to pizza and it was ranked as one of her favorites. The crust was thin and crispy and the pizza had a good cheese to topping ratio.

Instead of building my own burger, I opted to go for one of the burgers featured on the menu. The Farmstead Lamb Burger was topped with garlic herbed butter, feta cheese, and truffle arugula. This was awesome, the lamb burger was juicy, the cheese was creamy, and I loved the peppery arugula taste.

Because I’m a sucker for fries, I also ordered a side of the truffle fries and they were delicious!
