Don’t Know Tavern: Tots, Burgers, and More in Federal Hill

If you’ve ever found yourself thinking, “I don’t even remember where I ate last night,” then maybe it’s time to skip the guessing and head straight to Don’t Know Tavern in Federal Hill. I pass by almost every day and have been meaning to check it out for a while, and my friend’s craving for Crab Dip Tots finally gave me the perfect excuse.

We kicked things off with the Crab Dip Tots, and they did not disappoint. The balance between the creamy, cheesy crab dip and the crispy tots was perfect — each tot was generously coated, leaving no bites behind. My friend practically inhaled them, and I don’t blame her. This is a must-order appetizer if you’re stopping by.

I can never resist brussels sprouts, so the Kung Pao Brussels immediately caught my eye. These were fried and tossed in a vibrant red Thai chili sauce, topped with roasted peanuts, and served over vegetable fried rice. They had just the right amount of spice, with a hint of sweetness and crunch from the peanuts. Honestly, these are some of the best brussels sprouts I’ve had in a while.

For my main, I went with the DK Burger. Topped with smoked bacon, muenster cheese, spicy remoulade, lettuce, tomato, and onion, this burger was packed with flavor. The patty was juicy and perfectly cooked, making it an ideal choice for a casual night out or to enjoy while watching the game at the bar.
