“This is what a burger place should smell like,” were the first words out of my mouth when I walked into Clark Burger. If you’ve ever stepped inside a truly great burger joint, you know the smell — a mix of sizzling meat, melted cheese, and a hint of grease that somehow just feels right.
My friend went for the Clark Burger, a no-frills, flavor-packed classic. It came with a juicy beef patty topped with white cheddar, smoked bacon, onions, lettuce, pickles, and their signature CB sauce. It’s a straightforward burger, but the CB sauce really ties everything together — tangy, creamy, and just the right amount of indulgent.
Since Clark Burger leans into its Canadian roots, I decided to try the Barque Burger. This one came stacked with Montreal smoked meat, pickles, onions, and spicy mustard — basically a deli sandwich meets a burger. It was rich, smoky, and a nice change of pace from the usual cheeseburger lineup. Highly recommend if you want something with a little twist.
Of course, we couldn’t skip the poutine, a Canadian classic made with crispy fries topped with rich gravy and gooey cheese curds. Clark Burger nailed it — the fries stayed crisp under the gravy, and every bite was the perfect mix of salty, savory, and cheesy. Honestly, I’d come back just for the poutine. Next time, I might even level up and try their Poutine Burger — because when in “Canada” (or at least the only Canadian-inspired eatery in Baltimore), why not go all in?
If you’re craving Canadian comfort food in Baltimore, Clark Burger is the spot. Between the juicy burgers, rich poutine, and friendly atmosphere, it’s everything a burger joint should be — simple, satisfying, and a little indulgent.
