If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you may remember that last year I had a fantastic meal at Grille620 in Ellicott City. The chef behind that memorable dining experience is also leading the kitchen just a few miles away in Clarksville at River Hill Grill.
With the promise of great food and a strong culinary team, I invited my good friend Taylor from StylishlyTaylored to join me for dinner. If you’re exploring Baltimore restaurants and great dining spots in the surrounding suburbs, River Hill Grill is definitely worth adding to your list.
Although Chef Fabio wasn’t in the kitchen the evening we visited, the meal still exceeded expectations.

ve been on a bit of a gin kick lately, so I started the evening with the Secret Garden cocktail. It’s made with St. Germain gin, fresh lime juice, agave syrup, and muddled cucumber.
With temperatures reaching the 90s the day we visited, this drink was incredibly refreshing. The cucumber and citrus notes made it light, crisp, and the perfect way to begin a summer dinner.

We kicked things off with the Seared Ahi Tuna appetizer, which may have been the smartest decision we made all evening.
The tuna was blackened and drizzled with wasabi aioli and balsamic glaze. The flavors were bright, balanced, and incredibly fresh. Our waitress also mentioned it was her favorite dish on the menu, which made us feel even better about our choice.
If you visit River Hill Grill, this is absolutely a must-order starter.

We also ordered the Chicken Nachos to share.
Loaded with chicken and melted cheese over crispy chips, this dish checked all the boxes for a satisfying appetizer. Nachos are one of my personal favorite comfort foods, and this version was a solid one—perfect for sharing with friends over drinks.

The burger section of the menu immediately caught my attention, and I decided to try the Old School Patty.
This burger isn’t over-the-top or piled high with toppings—and honestly, that’s exactly what I was craving. The patty itself was incredibly juicy and cooked perfectly. It was topped with caramelized onions, smoked ketchup, and American cheese.
Simple, classic, and absolutely delicious. Sometimes the best burgers are the ones that focus on quality ingredients and perfect execution.

Taylor was also feeling the burger vibes and ordered the Cuban Burger.
Her burger featured ham, bacon, pickles, Swiss cheese, and grain mustard. The flavors gave it a fun twist on the traditional Cuban sandwich, and she loved every bite.
If you’re a burger fan searching for great Baltimore restaurants and nearby spots with standout burgers, River Hill Grill should definitely be on your radar.
