Lately, I’ve been on a serious cauliflower kick. It’s one of my favorite vegetables to cook with because it’s incredibly versatile and absorbs whatever flavors you throw at it. Whether you roast it, puree it into soup, or turn it into a hearty side dish, cauliflower can transform into something completely new with the right ingredients.
If you haven’t seen my Purple Cauliflower Soup, you should definitely check it out—it’s another great way to highlight this underrated veggie.
One of my favorite ways to prepare cauliflower, though, is Buffalo Cauliflower. It’s a lighter, veggie-forward alternative to buffalo wings that still delivers that classic tangy, spicy flavor.
When I received a bottle of Mike’s Hot Honey to try, I immediately knew it would be the perfect finishing touch for this dish. The sweet heat adds a whole new dimension that pairs beautifully with the bold buffalo sauce.
Buffalo cauliflower has become a popular vegetarian appetizer because it’s:
-
Packed with flavor from the classic buffalo sauce
-
Easy to make with just a few ingredients
-
Perfect for sharing as an appetizer or game-day snack
-
A great veggie alternative to buffalo wings
The drizzle of hot honey takes it up a notch by adding a balance of sweetness that complements the tangy heat.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 medium cauliflower, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2/3 cup Buffalo hot sauce – I used Franks
- Mike’s Hot Honey – for garnish
- ranch or blue cheese dressing – for garnish
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees, spray a large cookie sheet with cooking spray and set aside.
- In a large bowl whisk together garlic powder, hot sauce, salt, and pepper. Add cauliflower florets and toss to coat. Spread evenly onto cookie sheet and place in the oven. Bake for 15 minutes, flipping once.
- Remove from oven and drizzle with Mike’s Hot Honey.
- Serve with your favorite dressing and enjoy!
The addition of hot honey brings the perfect balance of sweet and spicy to the classic buffalo flavor. It’s honestly addictive.
Whether you’re serving this for game day, a party appetizer, or a weeknight snack, Buffalo Cauliflower with hot honey is an easy dish that always impresses.
Tips for the Best Buffalo Cauliflower
-
Don’t overcrowd the pan. Give the cauliflower space so it roasts instead of steaming.
-
Flip halfway through baking for even crispiness.
-
Serve immediately so the florets stay crispy and flavorful.
