While running errands out in Perry Hall, my friend and I started to get hungry and decided it was time for lunch. She suggested Ravage Deli, a local spot she’d heard great things about — and once she mentioned it had been named Best Deli in Baltimore back in 2013, I was sold.

The space at Ravage Deli is small, but the menu is anything but limited. We decided to start with an order of Duck Fat Fries, and honestly, that might have been the best decision of the day.

These hand-cut fries are fried in duck fat, then topped with parmesan, cracked pepper, and chives. They were golden, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. We ordered a small to share, which was plenty — but I couldn’t help feeling a little sad when the basket was empty.

My friend ordered the Angus Chili, one of the specials that day. It wasn’t overly spicy but packed full of ground beef, beans, and warm spices, then finished with a light sprinkle of cheese. It was hearty and comforting — exactly what you want on a cold winter day.

She also went classic with a Grilled Cheese — Texas toast with melted American cheese. Simple? Definitely. But it hit the spot and paired perfectly with the chili.

For my main course, I couldn’t resist the Slow Cooked Beef Brisket Sandwich — and it absolutely delivered. The house-smoked brisket was tender and flavorful, layered with Vermont cheddar, crispy fried shallots, and tangy barbecue sauce, all on a toasted brioche bun. Every bite was rich, smoky, and satisfying. I’d happily drive back to Perry Hall just to have it again.

If you’re looking for a laid-back spot with seriously good sandwiches, fries, and comfort food, Ravage Deli in Perry Hall is worth the trip. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why local delis will always have a special place in our hearts.
