Fresh Chips and Tacos at Tortilleria Sinaloa in Fells Point

With Cinco de Mayo just around the corner, my friend and I decided it was the perfect excuse to visit one of our favorite Mexican food spots in Baltimore.

That’s how we ended up at Tortilleria Sinaloa, a small spot in Fells Point that you might easily drive past without noticing. But don’t let the low-key exterior fool you — this place has built a serious reputation for authentic Mexican food and some of the best tortilla chips in Baltimore.

The Best Fresh Tortilla Chips

The first thing we ordered was an item we had heard rave reviews about: the Tortilla Chips.

These chips are made fresh in-house, and they’re easily some of the best chips I’ve ever had. They’re crisp, salty, and incredibly addictive.

In fact, whenever my roommate and I host friends, we often stop by Tortilleria Sinaloa to grab a bag of their chips to serve at home.

Fresh Guacamole

Of course, amazing chips deserve something equally delicious to dip them in.

We ordered the Guacamole, which was creamy, fresh, and exactly what you want alongside a basket of warm tortilla chips.

Cheese Quesadilla

My friend ordered the Cheese Quesadilla, which came stuffed with melted cheese and served with a side of beans.

It was simple and classic — nothing overly complicated, just a comforting and satisfying dish.

Juicy Chicken Taco

For my meal, I decided to try two different tacos.

The Chicken Taco was the standout. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and adding a little guacamole on top made the bite even better.

Steak Taco

My second taco was the Steak Taco.

While the steak was slightly on the drier side, a little extra salsa and guacamole brought everything together nicely. Even with that minor note, it was still a very satisfying taco.

Great Food at a Great Price

The best part of the entire meal? The total bill came to under $20.

For fresh Mexican food in Baltimore, that’s an incredible value — especially when the quality is this good.

If you’re exploring Fells Point and craving tacos or chips, Tortilleria Sinaloa is absolutely worth a stop.
