Sometimes, I revisit restaurants and end up with even better dishes than before. I don’t always have time to write a new post for every visit (trust me, I wish I did!), so I figured I’d do something different — a roundup of my top five favorite dishes in Federal Hill.
If you’re exploring the best restaurants in Federal Hill, Baltimore, these are the dishes I keep coming back to — the ones I could (and honestly do) eat over and over again.

1. Fumo e Fucco — Hersh’s Pizza & Drinks
It’s no secret that Hersh’s serves my favorite pizza in Baltimore. The Fumo e Fucco pizza is absolute perfection — topped with smoked mozzarella, fried eggplant, hot chili oil, and lamb sausage (or whatever special sausage they’re crafting that day).
I’ve also tried it with brisket sausage, and it was next-level good. Between the smoky cheese, spicy oil, and crispy crust, this pizza hits every note.

2. Mac & Cheese — SoBo Café
You know a dish is special when you can’t stop thinking about it days later. The Mac & Cheese at SoBo Café is creamy, cheesy, and topped with that perfect crispy crust.
The portion size is generous — technically an appetizer, but big enough to share (or not, I won’t judge). It’s comfort food at its finest.
SoBo Café — 6 W Cross St
3. Oriole Wings — Delia Foley’s
If there’s one thing Baltimore does well, it’s wings — and Delia Foley’s easily serves the best in the city. The Oriole Wings are drenched in their signature Oriole sauce, a perfect balance of heat and flavor that keeps you coming back for more.
The wings are crispy, saucy, and downright addictive. Plus, that leftover sauce? Ideal for dipping fries or anything else you order.

Korean Short Rib Fries — The Local Fry
You can’t make a “top five” list without fries, and The Local Fry does them better than anyone. The Korean Short Rib Fries are legendary — a pile of hand-cut fries topped with braised short rib, pickled red onions, crema, scallions, and toasted sesame seeds.
They’re flavorful, filling, and totally unique — hands down some of the most creative fries in Federal Hill.
The Local Fry — 21 E Cross St
Chicken Kebab Platter — Baba’s Mediterranean Kitchen
Rounding out the list is Baba’s Mediterranean Kitchen, which never disappoints. The Chicken Kebab Platter is juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. The hummus is creamy, the portions are generous, and every bite tastes fresh and perfectly seasoned.
When you’re craving Mediterranean comfort food, Baba’s is always a solid choice.
Baba’s Mediterranean Kitchen — 745 E Fort Ave
These are just a few of the best dishes in Federal Hill, and honestly, narrowing it down to five wasn’t easy. Each one of these spots deserves a visit — whether you’re a local or just exploring Baltimore’s foodie scene.
